Auckland Council Henderson Hub

The Henderson Civic Centre Seismic Strengthening and Office Fitout was a project featuring a full, 3-level office fitout and seismic strengthening at the same time.  The programme was very aggressive working on all 3 levels concurrently while undertaking the seismic upgrades.  The seismic strengthening involved upgrading the existing building to a 67% NBS rating. The seismic strengthening works included the installation of new seismic isolation movement joints at the intermediate landings of the precast concrete staircases and new steel angles to areas where proprietary TAC20 connectors were used between the floor slab and precast panels walls.  Further to this a complete interior strip-out was undertaken followed by a full fitout and refurbishment of 3 floors to provide open plan office spaces, meeting rooms, staff kitchens, breakout spaces, utility areas, end-of-trip facilities and a Customer Service Centre.

Savory also provided a functional building services upgrade with improved heating and ventilation, IT cabling, AV, lighting and fire protection.
