Auckland War Memorial Museum Te Ao Mārama South Atrium

Savory Joinery were contracted by Aspec Construction to complete the timber works for the Auckland War Memorial Museum Te Ao Mārama South Atrium. To represent the heritage of New Zealand and the War Memorial Museum the team created and installed NZ Tawa tear drop shaped columns, feature ceilings, two large Corian reception desks, a first-floor exhibition space with tiered seating, display exhibit cases and classroom joinery.

The corridor walls and ceilings are also lined with Blackwood veneer, brass inlays and recess lighting.
