University of Otago Dental School

The new dental school facility is located at Manukau HealthPark. A two-story building comprising of 32 dental chairs, a 15-work station dental simulation suite for dedicated medical scenario simulation environment with dental chair, and supporting services including a technical laboratory and radiography. The building also has a small CSSD for processing instruments.

With over 300 penetrations through the suspended slab, that had to be coordinated with the client, consultants, contractors & client contractors, in relation to setout, construction and fire rating. Full mockups of complex passive fire ratings were undertaken by Savory.
